We currently operate 54 hospitals from basic to university maximum care as well as 35 medical care centres (MVZs). We also cover all specialised medical fields. In 1989 we became the first hospital group in Germany to be listed on the stock exchange. Our facilities are open to all patients, whether covered by statutory health insurance or private health insurance plans.

The stock corporation RHÖN-KLINIKUM AG was created in 1988 from the conversion of RHÖN-KLINIKUM GmbH, a limited liability company founded in 1973.

Supervisory Board
In accordance with the principle of equal representation of shareholders and staff pursuant to the German Co-Determination Act (Mitbestimmungsgesetz), the Supervisory Board is made up of twenty members. Of these, ten are elected by shareholders at the Annual General Meeting and the remaining ten (seven employees of the Group and three representatives of the trade union ver.di) are elected by the staff.
