RHÖN-KLINIKUM AG

Notification according to section 26 para. 1 WpHG

Credit Suisse Group AG, Zürich, Switzerland, and Credit Suisse AG, Zürich, Switzerland, notified us pursuant to section 25 para. 1 WpHG of the following:

1) On 2 July 2012, Credit Suisse Group AG exceeded the threshold of 5% of the voting rights of RHÖN-KLINIKUM AG, Salzburger Leite 1, 97616 Bad Neustadt a. d. Saale, Germany. On that date, Credit Suisse Group AG held 5.81% of the voting rights in RHÖN-KLINIKUM AG (equals 8,025,638 voting rights). From these voting rights a proportion of 3.83% (equals 5,294,944 voting rights) is based on voting rights pursuant to sections 21, 22 WpHG and a proportion of 1.98% (equals 2,730,694 voting rights) is based on (financial / other) instruments pursuant to section 25 WpHG. From the voting rights based on instruments pursuant to section 25 WpHG a proportion of 1.98% (equals 2,730,694 voting rights) is held indirectly (chain of controlled undertakings: Credit Suisse AG, Credit Suisse International, Credit Suisse Investments (UK), Credit Suisse Investment Holdings (UK), Credit Suisse Securities (Europe) Ltd.). The (financial/other) instruments pursuant to section 25a WpHG are described as follows: Right to recall from securities lending, maturity at any time.

2) On 2 July 2012, Credit Suisse AG exceeded the threshold of 5% of the voting rights of RHÖN-KLINIKUM AG, Salzburger Leite 1, 97616 Bad Neustadt a. d. Saale, Germany. On that date, Credit Suisse AG held 5.81% of the voting rights in RHÖN-KLINIKUM AG (equals 8,025,638 voting rights).
