RHÖN-KLINIKUM AG

Notification according to section 26 para. 1 WpHG

On 2 July 2012, Credit Suisse Group AG, Zürich, Switzerland, Credit Suisse AG, Zürich, Switzerland, Credit Suisse Investments (UK), London, UK, Credit Suisse Investment Holdings (UK), London, UK, and Credit Suisse Securities (Europe) Limited, London, UK, notified us pursuant to section 21 para. 1 WpHG of the following:

1) On 26 June 2012, Credit Suisse Group AG exceeded the threshold of 3% of the voting rights in RHÖN-KLINIKUM AG, Schlossplatz 1, 97616 Bad Neustadt a. d. Saale, Germany. On that date, Credit Suisse Group AG held 3.19% of the voting rights in RHÖN-KLINIKUM AG arising from 4,409,756 voting rights.

Of these voting rights, a proportion of 3.02% (equals 4,174,476 voting rights) is attributed to Credit Suisse Group AG pursuant to section 22 para. 1 sent. 1 no. 1 WpHG (names of controlled undertakings: Credit Suisse AG, Credit Suisse Investments (UK), Credit Suisse Investment Holdings (UK), Credit Suisse Securities (Europe) Limited) and a proportion of 0.17% (equals 235,280 voting rights) is attributed to Credit Suisse Group AG pursuant to section 22 para. 1 sent. 1 no. 6 in connection with sent. 2 WpHG.

2) On 26 June 2012, Credit Suisse AG exceeded the threshold of 3% of the voting rights in RHÖN-KLINIKUM AG, Schlossplatz 1, 97616 Bad Neustadt a. d. Saale, Germany. On that date, Credit Suisse AG  held 3.19% of the voting rights in RHÖN-KLINIKUM AG arising from 4,409,756 voting rights.

Of these voting rights, a proportion of 0.0003% (equals 408 voting rights) is held directly. A proportion of 3.02% (equals 4,174,068 voting rights) is attributed to Credit Suisse AG pursuant to section 22 para. 1 sent. 1 no. 1 WpHG (names of controlled undertakings: Credit Suisse Investments (UK), Credit Suisse Investment Holdings (UK), Credit Suisse Securities (Europe) Limited) and a proportion of 0.17% (equals 235,280 voting rights) is attributed to Credit Suisse AG pursuant to section 22 para. 1 sent. 1 no. 6 in connection with sent. 2 WpHG.

3) On 26 June 2012, Credit Suisse Investments (UK) exceeded the threshold of 3% of the voting rights in RHÖN-KLINIKUM AG, Schlossplatz 1, 97616 Bad Neustadt a. d. Saale, Germany. On that date, Credit Suisse Investments (UK) held 3.02% of the voting rights in RHÖN-KLINIKUM AG arising from 4,174,068 voting rights.

Of these voting rights, a proportion of 3.02% (equals 4,174,068 voting rights) is attributed to Credit Suisse Investments (UK) pursuant to section 22 para. 1 sent. 1 no. 1 WpHG (names of controlled undertakings: Credit Suisse Investment Holdings (UK), Credit Suisse Securities (Europe) Limited).

4) On 26 June 2012, Credit Suisse Investment Holdings (UK) exceeded the threshold of 3% of the voting rights in RHÖN-KLINIKUM AG, Schlossplatz 1, 97616 Bad Neustadt a. d. Saale, Germany. On that date, Credit Suisse Investment Holdings (UK) held 3.02% of the voting rights in RHÖN-KLINIKUM AG arising from 4,174,068 voting rights.

Of these voting rights, a proportion of 3.02% (equals 4,174,068 voting rights) is attributed to Credit Suisse Investment Holdings (UK) pursuant to section 22 para. 1 sent. 1 no. 1 WpHG (name of controlled undertaking: Credit Suisse Securities (Europe) Limited).

5) On 26 June 2012, Credit Suisse Securities (Europe) Limited exceeded the threshold of 3% of the voting rights in RHÖN-KLINIKUM AG, Schlossplatz 1, 97616 Bad Neustadt a. d. Saale, Germany. On that date, Credit Suisse Securities (Europe) Limited held 3.02% of the voting rights in RHÖN-KLINIKUM AG arising from 4,174,068 voting rights.
