Julius Bär Holding AG, Zurich, Switzerland, has informed us on 3 October 2008 pursuant to sec. 21 para 1 WpHG that on 30 September 2008 its percentage holding of the voting rights in RHÖN-KLINIKUM AG, Schlossplatz 1, Bad Neustadt a.d. Saale, Germany, exceeded the threshold of 5 % and amounted to 5.01 % (equivalent to 5,189,350 voting rights) in relation to the total number of voting rights of the issuer.

The voting rights in the amount of 5.01 % (equivalent to 5.189.350 voting rights) are entirely attributable to Julius Bär Holding AG pursuant to sec. 22 para. 1 sentence 1 no. 6 WpHG in connection with sec. 22 para. 1 sentence 2 WpHG.
